About ekip

ekip is a collaborative platform led by Lund University designed to handle complex innovation processes by involving many stakeholders—within the Creative and Cultural Industries (CCIs). It supports inclusive and evidence-based policy-making.

The goal is to build a strong, open, and inclusive pan-European network across the CCIs that supports collaboration, learning, and scaling of innovation.Collaboration is important for innovation in the CCIs because big challenges like the Green Deal and digital transformation and inclusion can’t be solved on its own.

Ekip work according to the open innovation principles, methods that promote transparency, collaboration, and co-creation by involving people from different sectors and backgrounds to share knowledge and work together.

The ekip engine is a model that co-creates policies with local and regional stakeholders in three stages:

  1. Identification and investigation of key policy areas
  2. Formulation of policies and testing them in real-life settings
  3. Outreach to share and scale the results
